Introducing
Community Carbon
Empowering Communities and
Fighting Energy Poverty.
CLIMATE POSITIVE PROJECTS CONNECTED WITH COMMUNITIES
Community Carbon delivers climate positive projects that alleviate energy poverty while working to protect and preserve our natural environment. These initiatives bring thousands of cleaner cookstoves and water purification systems to households and schools across eastern and southern Africa, sparking a ripple effect of change across communities.
At the core of our work is a profound belief in communities as catalysts for positive change. Our projects don't just reduce emissions—they also deliver empowering co-benefits that combat energy poverty, safeguard local ecosystems, and foster community growth.
THROUGH A DEDICATED IMPACT FUND
In our commitment to harnessing the transformative power of communities, we've partnered with the Climate Resilience Impact Fund. This fund receives a portion of all payments received for emissions reductions and reinvests it into high-impact community programs. Our aim is to create a positive, lasting impact that dives deeper into the heart of communities, stimulating profound, lasting impacts that generate additional social and economic benefits.
“If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

BEYOND EMISSION REDUCTIONS: TANGIBLE CO-BENEFITS
The essence of Community Carbon lies in our intent to reach beyond surface-level contributions. Our approach dives deeper into the heart of communities, stimulating profound, lasting impacts that generate additional social and economic benefits.
Community Empowerment & Education
The first funds invest in programs that empower and educate women and girls, recognizing their potential to fight climate change and their vulnerability to climate disasters. Over time, this will expand into other key areas such as health and sanitation.
Community Impact Fund
We believe in the power of reinvesting in the broader community. Through the Climate Resilience Impact Fund, we allocate resources towards programs that support communities outside of the immediate project scope and impact.
Community Employment
By sourcing local materials and manufacturing our devices in the regions where they are deployed, we create direct and indirect employment opportunities. This approach helps boost the local economy and strengthens communities.
Community Savings
Our energy-efficient technology significantly reduces biomass fuel requirements, delivering immediate, meaningful financial savings. These funds can then be redirected towards health, education, or other productive endeavors, empowering households and communities to invest in their priorities.
Community Environment
Community Carbon supports community tree-planting programs to enhance local forest health. Additionally, it educates communities on the importance of forests, highlighting their role in improving biodiversity, enhancing soil quality, and preserving water quality.
